Ancestry Revealed Needs You!

If you are researching your own family, you already know how to complete a pedigree chart. Training is available if needed and/or we can pair you up with a seasoned volunteer during workshops. If you are interested in helping others in this extremely rewarding program, and whether you can volunteer weekly or only occasionally, we can use your help.

Thanks to all our past and current volunteers! Without you, there would be no program.

Live workshop at The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park

Workshops are held on two consecutive Wednesdays for each facility, one week apart. Two time slot choices offered are: 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. We arrive 30 minutes early to set up our laptops and get connected to Wi-Fi. A laptop or tablet is needed (occasionally we have an extra laptop if needed). You don’t have to commit to doing every workshop; you can pick and choose which schedule works for you.

The seniors we have helped have been thrilled beyond expectation at the results. Our volunteers say that their research skills have been greatly expanded with this program. So even if you haven’t been doing genealogy for a long time, this program can help you advance and hone your skills.

If you are interested in helping others in this rewarding program or would like more information, please contact Carol Mead, the program director.
